That’s Not My Board Meeting: In the style of “That’s Not My Pirate”

That’s not my Board meeting,

the power point presentation is too free of corporate jargon.

That’s not my Board meeting,

the Chair is too personable.

That’s not my Board meeting,

its attendees are too diverse.

That’s not my Board meeting,

the buffet is too enjoyable.

That’s not my Board meeting,

too many decisions are being made in a happy and cooperative fashion.

That’s not my Board meeting,

their demeanour is too relaxed.

That’s my Board meeting!

I’m a blushing, nervous wreck, totally ill at ease in my alien surroundings.

 This post is in response to a WordPress 101 writing challenge.It is easier to understand if you have both had to attend a Board meeting, and are utterly familiar with the kid’s book, “That’s Not My Pirate”, by Fiona Watt and Rachel Wells.
