A Song about Black Friday to the Tune of ‘Deck The Halls’…..

…..because if I don’t laugh, I’ll cry

Abby Boid

Deck that boy, and his sister Holly

Fa la la la la la la la la

The buggers got their fingers on your shopping trolley

Fa la la la la la la la la

_____

Don yourselves with cheap apparel

Fa la la la la la la la la

Too busy shopping to sing Christmas Carols

Fa la la la la la la la la

_____

Ignore the blazing streets before us

Fa la la la la la la la la la

Got to grab that bargain at the big Toys ‘r’ Us

Fa la la la la la la la la

_____

Follow me at my displeasure

Fa la la la la la la la la la

I aint gonna help you find the sale-time treasure

Fa la la la la la la la la

_____

Fast away Black Friday passes

Fa la la la la la la la la

Hail my massive telly all you useless bastards

Fa la la la la la la la la

_____

Shout we madly, not together

Fa la la la la la la la la

Spending money we ain’t got, whatever the weather

Fa la la la la la la la la

Fa la la la la la la la laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

So true. Sad when all Christmas becomes is a commercial, who can piss the furtherest … exercise.

We have an annual tradition of going to a little island off the coast every year on Christmas Eve. It is just a day trip. Hardly anyone is there as they are all madly shopping, etc. We just sit on the beach, look across the crystal ocean at all the madness and relax. Being together with nature reminds us who we are and what it is all about.

gosh that sounds fabulous. Saw today shops are open until 6 on Christmas eve. If that was the only day we did the Christmas shopping, I suppose it could be quite jolly. As it is, thought, it’s just another way to waste precious time.
