A poem. That Rhymes.

It’s hard to write a rhyming poem

When your mind’s distracted

With tales of hearts being fractured.

It’s hard to write a rhyming poem

When the sun’s warm on your skin

Contentment leaves you groggy

There’s no real cause to begin

–

While it’s quite fun to write a rhyming poem

I now hear a Neil Young hit

And I think “I’ll leave the rhyming  poems

To those better equipped.”
